Bids Open for Highway Contract
The Arkansas State Highway Commission has opened bids for a project to improve a Nevada County highway, according to Highway Commissioner Mary P. 'Prissy' Hickerson of Texarkana.

Cale High School Reunion
Plans have been finalized for a class reunion of former Cale High School graduates. This is primarily for graduates and staff of 1966-67 through the graduating class of 1988. However, all graduates and alumni of Cale are included.

Three Ouachita Baptist University students from Prescott were among the 255 who received their degrees at the 112th annual spring commencement exercises at May 15 at the Roy and Christine Sturgis Physical Education Center.
Thompson Attends Seminar
Liz Thompson attended the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) seminar in Little Rock April 30-May 2. She joined more than 140 other young leaders representing as many high schools throughout Arkansas.
