John T. BeardPublished Wednesday, June 2, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohn T. Beard, 64, of Hope died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Beard was born October 11, 1934, in Nevada County to William Frank and Lula Eleanor Hendrix Beard. He was a retired farmer, member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church of Hope and an U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary Beard of Hope; three daughters, Barbie Beard Aaron and Sherri Beard Adams both of Hope and Janie Beard Spell of Emmet; one brother, Harold Beard of Hope; five sisters, Eva Elder, Polly Middlebrooks, Thelma Hicks and Lucille Clayton all of Hope and Mae Parks of Texarkana; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Parish officiating.
