Dr. Richard C. Ruble II

Dr. Richard Clark Ruble II, 42, died at his home in Prescott Friday, May 28, 1999.

Dr. Ruble was born at Little Rock on July 21, 1956, the son of Richard Clark and Barbara Hatcher Ruble. He was a graduate of Yellville-Summit High School, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and UAMS at Little Rock. He was in family practice in Perryville, Fayetteville, and Holiday Island near Eureka Springs prior to his illness. He was a member of the Caducous Club at UAMS and a member of the United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Champ and Beulah Ruble, and his maternal grandfather, Cohin Hatcher.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie Susan Winchester Ruble; two sons, Richard Clark Ruble III and Cohin Lee Ruble all of Prescott; a daughter, Mamie Elizabeth Ruble of Prescott; his parents, Richard and Barbara Ruble of Russellville; three brothers, Russell Ruble of New York, N.Y., and Randall and Rodney Ruble, both of China; one sister, Rebecca Ward of Little Rock; and his maternal grandmother, Lyda Hatcher of Hensley.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 1, at Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison with Rev. John Miles II, officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel of Harrison.

Pallbearers were Russell, Randall and Rodney Ruble, Rebecca Ward, Douglas Ward, James Root, Eual Allen and Tony Winchester. Honorary pallbearers were Michael and James Brown, Gary Winchester, Boyce Smith, Candy Deakins, Cindi Koizumi, Hershell Garrett and Donnie Parker.

Memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Cancer and Research Center at UAMS in Little Rock.
