CaneyRuby WickerPublished Wednesday, June 2, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Members of Morris Baptist Church enjoyed fifth Sunday fellowship potluck and afternoon singing Sunday. Sunday evening services were dismissed. Tracy Bennett and Marsha Nowlin were united in marriage Saturday evening at Morris Baptist Church. After the honeymoon they will be living in North Caney. Bro. Tal Webb will be involved in a revival at Beech Creek Baptist Church. Adult bible study at Morris will be dismissed Thursday evening in favor of attending the revival. Don and Peggy Fain of Camden spent Sunday night and Monday with her parents, Bro. Junior and Ann Loe. Bro. Junior and Ann visited Pocket and Nez Callicott Sunday afternoon. Other Sunday guests of Pocket and Nez were David and Linda Hacker and sons, Austin and Christian of Texarkana and Don and Janice Callicott. Delbert Steed has been having back problems. Buck and Edna McNeeley and daughter, Francis, of Mobile, Ala., visited Delbert a few days ago. They visited friends at Nubin Hill, but Delbert was unable to go because of his back. Van and Ellen Smith and J.W. and Maxine Glass had supper with Lucy Glass Sunday after the afternoon service. Lucy had eye surgery in Texarkana Tuesday. Aaron Morton of Nubin Hill community spent Saturday night with grandparents, J.W. and Maxine. Pat, Tim and Leah McCullough are spending a few days in Eudora with Kenny. The McCullough families are having a reunion. At least one guest at Tracy and Marsha's wedding Saturday evening had a hot old time. Steve Wicker, who was making a video of the wedding backed up to a window where a candle had been placed and caught his shirt on fire. He put himself out and the wedding went on. We're glad to have Wanda Wicker back home after an extended visit in St. Louis with her daughter, Evelyn. They were closing up Evelyn's house; now she has moved back home with her mother. Wanda's son, Steve, who has been living with her since retiring from the Navy has moved to Texarkana. Ronnie and Gail Tucker celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at their home Sunday afternoon. Coy and Grace Callicott are celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary. People can be divided into three groups.
