Don't forget why we have Memorial Day. Remember the ones who gave their lives that we might enjoy the freedom to worship and vote as we choose.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Corrie Jane (Brown) Duncan of Grapeland, Texas. She passed away Friday. Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Billy Ray and Joy Shaver of Hamburg visited Elsie Elmore, Willie, myself and Doris Ridgell, Kay Wren, Herbie Ridgell and Margo Green Saturday. Other visitors of Doris Ridgell and Kay Wren during the weekend were Angie Wren and Kelsey Joe Wren, Jeff and Carrie Ridgell and children, Kay's daughter, Kim, and Brittney, Herbie Ridgell and Paul and Robin Ridgell.

Dodie Ridling Stephen and Lacy visited her mother, Boletta Crabtree, and husband, Terry, and visitors, Jan and Pam McAllester of Fort Worth, Texas, over the weekend.

Tommy Elmore, Chris and Kelli of Hamburg spent Saturday night with his mother, Elsie Elmore. His grandsons, Billy O'Rourke and Frankie McGlone, returned home with him to spend a few days.

Patricia Ingersoll spent Memorial Day with her mother in Nathan.

Doug and Carol Johnson in Little Rock visited his mother, Mildred Johnson, during the weekend.

Hershel and Tammy Hooks came Friday to check on their mother, Cathrine Hooks, and Mae Blount. They mowed the lawn and also did a little fishing.

Sammy and Laurne House spent Sunday with Lenord and Faye House.

Boughton Church will be having its annual first Sunday in June get together. Regular services Sunday morning with lunch at the noon hour and singing in the afternoon. You have a special invitation to come.
