- The Women of the Church of God met Tues., Nov. 16. There were eight members in attendance. They were Thelma Mizell, Doris Vance, Eulah Wilson, Shirley Smithpeters, Vivian Spruill, Janet Toland, Velvet Gonzales and Jeannie Burchfield.

- Last week we enjoyed bingo on Monday and the monthly council meeting on Tuesday. We elected officers and board members for 2000. On Wednesday we had a talent show.
- Two Receive Cabe Grant

- Jean Smithey, Title I reading teacher, and Jeff Alexander, principal at Cabe Middle School, have received a $2,000 grant from the Cabe Foundation for the 1999-2000 school year to meet the needs of students having trouble in their core subjects.
