Last week we enjoyed bingo on Monday and the monthly council meeting on Tuesday. We elected officers and board members for 2000. On Wednesday we had a talent show.

Beatrice Stafford played the piano and we sang some good old gospel songs.

Roland Walters played his guitar and sang a couple of songs and Bud Gulledge played the piano. Lloyd Baumgardner sang on Thursday and we had a Coke walk on Friday.

This week we have a turkey shoot, recipe exchange and a Thanksgiving program on Wednesday.

Head cook Barbara Weems' husband is in the hospital. Our love and prayers are with them.

We are thankful for the rain we had and also the beautiful weather. We should be more thankful this Thanksgiving for what God has given us. So many countries are not as blessed as we are.

The center will be closed Nov. 25 and 26 for Thanksgiving.

The center is a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way agency.
