Elva E. WardPublished Wednesday, January 24, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneElva E. Ward, 77, of Salinas, Calif., formerly of Prescott, died Saturday, January 6, 1996, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Born in Prescott on October 17, 1918, she had lived in Salinas for 39 years. Before her retirement she was a shed worker for A&P Produce Company, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salinas Moose Lodge, the Spokes Car Club of Salinas and the senior bowling league at Valley Center. Survivors include her husband, James Ward; two sons, William of Texarkana, Texas, and Richard of Hollister, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services were held at Healey Mortuary chapel in Salinas. Burial was in the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Salinas under the direction of Healey Mortuary.
