McKamie Earns UCA ScholarshipPublished Wednesday, January 24, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneWes McKamie of Nevada High School has accepted an academic scholarship from the University of Central Arkansas beginning in August. The scholarship is based on American College Test (ACT) scores and class rank and is renewable for four years. He will receive the presidential scholarship for tuition, fees, room and board. McKamie is the son of Ruel and Monica McKamie of Rosston. He is vice presicent of the senior class, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, Beta Club, French Club, Who's Who Among American High School Students, "A" honor roll and baseball and drug prevention teams, was voted Senior of Distinction, Most Studious and Most Likey to Succeed, and received the Presidential Academic Fitness Award.
