Smithson said permanent bleachers wouldn't look right, but cost half of what folding bleachers cost.

However, he said folding bleachers will give more space for physical education classes once the middle school is moved to the new GHS location, and more space will be needed.

"We don't have to decide now," he said. "I think we have three or four months, but it (the gym) needs to be finished by next fall."

Teacher needs were also discussed at the meeting. It was learned the primary school has 357 students, and is currently in compliance.

A media specialist and more help in the library would be beneficial, the board was told.

The middle school needs two more physical education classes next year and could use a certified career orientation instructor.

GHS, on the other hand, needs math and science instructors, along with more social studies teachers for next year.
