Joey BurkePublished Wednesday, January 31, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneRichard J. `Joey' Burke Jr., 18, of Prescott died Saturday, January 27, 1996, in a vehicle accident in Blevins. Born January 29, 1977, in Prescott, he was a 1995 graduate of Prescott High School and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Blevins. Survivors include his parents, Ricky and Nancy Burke of Prescott; a sister, Kristi Cuthbertson of Havelock, N.C.; paternal grandparents, Joe and Doris Burke of Prescott; maternal grandmother, Maxine Brown of Bodcaw; and his great grandmother, Mary E. Morrow of Prescott. Services were held Tuesday, January 30, at Central Baptist Church in Prescott with Bro. James Ross, Bro. Neil Riddling and Bro. Jonathan Russell officating.
