The third game was a heartbreaker as Nevada fell to cross-county rival Prescott 47-46 Saturday.

Both teams started off slow, but the Lady Jays were able to take an 11-8 lead after one. The Wolverettes returned the favor in the second quarter as they tied the game at 17-17 as the buzzer sounded ending the first half.

The Lady Jays were able to take a slender 28-27 lead after three periods had expired, but were unable to hold off the Wolverettes in the final eight minutes.

Muldrow led the Lady Jays with 21 points, while Evans netted 13 in the contest.

Leslie Hines was the Wolverettes' leading scorer with 14 in the contest. Ashley Stewart contributed 10 in the win as did an ailing Jessica Hildebrand.
