Vendor Fair Planned March 5 At Fair ParkPublished Wednesday, January 31, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Southwest Arkansas Regional Transition Team is sponsoring a Vendor Fair on March 5 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. at the Hope Fair Park coliseum. This fair will be for students of all ages, who have a disability. Their parents are also welcome. Making people aware of services available and providing them an opportunity to gather information are the purposes of the fair. Agencies that provide services to the disabled will be asked to set up a booth at the fair and provide important information to those attending. Letters are being sent out to Nevada, Lafayette, Hempstead and Miller County agencies. The Southwest Arkansas Regional Transition Team was formed in October 1995. The function of this team is to help coordinate services for people with disabilities from birth through adult life, and to help them become as self sufficient as possible. Agencies and businesses are asked to return the survey so that the team may plan for the fair. If you are a parent of a disabled child or are yourself disabled, make plans to attend the vendor fair.
