Richard S. 'Dick' Kale III

Richard S. 'Dick" Kale III, 67, of Lake Wales, Fla., formerly of Mabelvale, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at Lake Wales Medical Center.

Mr. Kale was born December 24, 1931, in Trenton, N.J., to Samuel Stewart Strum Stryker and Julia Steward Kale. He was fire marshall of Osceola County, Fla., and a retired U.S. Army veteran from the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Mr. Kale was a member of Wayside Baptist Church in Lake Wales. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Dr. Hubert W. Kale.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie L. 'Picky' Hicks Kale of Lake Wales; one son, Edward 'Eddie' Rothel Robin Kale of Lake Wales; two daughters, Kelly Ann Kale of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Kardyn Michelle Eddleman of Lake Wales; three brothers, Donald Walter Kale and William Henry Kale of New Jersey and James Edward Kale of Ft. Lauderdale; two sisters, Barbara Kale Falzinni and Linda Janet Kale of New Jersey; and six grand-children, Amanda Kay Kale, Allison Elizabeth Eddleman, Race Stryker Kale, Tuscharora Farrell Kale, John Louis Eddleman and Kari Ellen Campbell.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 6, at Morris Baptist Church at Caney with Revs. Raymond Hicks and J.R. Callicott officiating. Burial was in Caney Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
