Knight Seeks ReelectionPublished Wednesday, February 14, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesWanda H. Knight, Clark County Assessor, has announced she will seek reelection in the May Democratic Primary. Knight took office in 1989 with 14 years experience as deputy assessor. "My staff and I have worked hard to keep the office updated," she said in a prepared statement. "There have been many changes in laws regarding both real estate and personal property. I feel we have implemented the changes efficiently while being fair and impartial to all taxpayers." Knight is a native of Clark County. She is the daughter of Thelma Howell and the late Hess Howell. She has a daughter, Tanya, who is married to Randy Dixon. She has two grandchildren. She thanks the voters for electing her and for all the support and encouragement. Knight said, "I would like the opportunity to continue serving as your County Assessor."
