Area Highway Improvement Bids OpenedPublished Wednesday, February 14, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesThe Arkansas State Highway Commission has opened bids for a project to improve a Clark County highway, according to Highway Commissioner John M. Lipton of Warren. The 7-mile project will pave a gravel section and overlay a paved section of Highway 182 from Highway 67 at Gurdon to the west. Tigue Constructioin Co. of Glenwood was awarded a $2,144,944.43 contract for the work. The project is expected to be complete by summer 1997.
