BodcawAline ClausPublished Wednesday, July 7, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune I wish everyone a happy Fourth of July holiday. There is usually a family gatherings, cook- outs etc. Of course I am writing this early. I may have some report next time. Happy birthday to Joyce Bennet, Shannon Flowers, Misty and Dusty Townsend and Loretta Baker. I will get more birthdays later. Chris Butler is home on a long weekend, visiting the David Butlers of Blevins and the Dexter Butlers of Bodcaw. His grandmother, Betty Bain, is seriously ill in a Little Rock hospital. J.D. and Marie Allen had a get-together potluck meal on Saturday. Then they had a fish fry with all the trimmings on Sunday at Lynn Allen's place near Shover. I think all Allens were invited. The Tye families are going to the Bob and Janette Spencers at El Dorado for their get together. All Tyes are invited who can make it. It was Saturday. Marie Tye is going to spend a few days there. John L. Williams has made it home from the hospital. I hope he is doing better. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
