PHS Track Schedule Is GivenPublished Wednesday, February 28, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneListed below is the complete schedule for all eight track and field squads. The indoor state meet will be held this weekend. Prescott will host a few practice meets in March, but with fewer and fewer schools competing each year, these may soon be a thing of the past, according to PHS track coach Eddie Jackson. With the outdoor season shortened each year with varying school calendars, interference from non-school activities, additional in-school functions and various other factors, the few schools that do compete are trying to be more involved with relay meets even though the March weather may not be favorable. With the improvement of our facility with a new surface, we hope to feature our athletes at home with a couple of relay meets for each squad. The senior boys' and girls' teams will host the Prescott Relays on March 19 and the annual Prescott Merchants' Relays on April 18. The junior teams will host relay meets on April 2 and April 9. The annual PMS Relays will feature all area seventh and eighth grade teams on April 15. The 7AA District meet will be held at Nashville and the Class AA State meet will be conducted at Heber Springs.
