LULA WHITE HITTPublished Wednesday, March 6, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneLula White Hitt, 98, of North Little Rock died Monday, February 26, 1996, in Little Rock. Born in Prescott in 1898, she was the daughter of the late Sam T. and Lula Tamplin White. She attended Galloway College at Searcy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Hitt and a daughter Martha Margaret Hitt. Survivors include a daughter, Lula Jane Schriver of Lompoc, Calif., and three sons, Sam William Hitt of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Richard T. Hitt and Thomas C. Hitt of North Little Rock; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Memorial services were held Friday, March 1, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Chapel in North Little Rock.
