Part Of Classes Offered Through HendersonPublished Wednesday, March 6, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneCharlotte McCauley's fifth grade social studies and Joyce Westmoreland's sixth grade science classes at Prescott Middle School are participants in the K-4 Crusade class offered through Henderson State University. This class features an interdisciplinary approach for the instruction of science, math and reading. It provides innovative training and equipment for educators who are committed to improving education for all students. Fifth and sixth grade students at Prescott Middle School have participated in several activities in conjunction with the K-4 crusade, including bubbleology, the care and feeding of hermit crabs, prior knowledge, writing assessment and language experience. BLOWING BUBBLES -- Sophia Dunn, Romun Reese and Joseph Stueart, fifth grade students at Prescott Middle School, are blowing bubbles as part of a special science class program. BUBBLES AND LEARNING -- Trent Crow and Cassie Cottingham, sixth grade students at Prescott Middle School. are having fun with bubbles while learning. BUBBLE GRAPH -- Travis Box and Chakeytia Edwards, fifth grade students at Prescott Middle School, are measuring and charting bubbles during a special science class project.
