Five juveniles were arrested in connection with the break in and theft at Oliver's One Stop in Prescott.

The incident occurred Monday, June 29, around 11:30 p.m. According to Wayne Kisselburg, criminal investigator with the Prescott Police Department and Nevada County Sheriff's Office, someone flagged down Jim Stewart, assistant police chief, telling him they saw someone carrying a rifle with a scope behind the Red-E-Mart on Highway 67.

Investigation into the claim turned up a box of shells, with the price sticker from Oliver's One Stop.

Officers then went to Oliver's and found the glass in both front doors had been broken out.

Scott Clark, criminal investigator with the Arkansas State Police, was called in on the case to help with the probe.

Officers also returned to Red-E-Mart where other evidence was found. They then went to the home of a suspect, waking his mother up and getting permission to search the premises.

Several items taken from Oliver's were found there, while a BB gun with a scope was found in a car.

Officers went to the home of another suspect, who admitted being there during the break in.

The investigation turned up a total of five juveniles who were all charged with burglary, theft of property and criminal mischief.
