Published Wednesday, March 13, 1996 in the Nevada County Picayune

Local singer and songwriter, Stacy Hildebrand, who has been entertaining audiences around Arkansas for more than six years, will headline an upcoming edition of a popular country music show. Hildebrand, 21, will be the featured act at the Ashdown Jamboree in Ashdown Saturday, March 16, at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $6.50.

Hildebrand will lead the Ashdown Jamboree band through a rollicking set of old and new country classics, such as Charlie Rich's "Behind Closed Doors" and Vince Gill's "Go Rest High." He will showcase his piano virtuosity with Floyd Cramer's "The Last Date" and spice up the show with a famous Jimmy Buffet classic. Hildebrand will also perform his yet-to-be released original song, "Love at First Sight."

A crowd favorite at the Ashdown Jamboree, Hildebrand has served as pianist for the Jamboree band since he was 17 years old. Besides being acclaimed for his phenominal keyboarding, Hildebrand has wowed audiences over the years by lending his own rich vocal style to hits by such artists as Vince Gill, Lee Roy Parnell and Kenny Rogers.

Hildebrand, who is originally from Prescott and is now a junior music major at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, said he hopes his upcoming show will give the audience a real treat. "We're gonna have a good time and make sure that anyone who comes has just as much fun," he said.

The Ashdown Jamboree is owned and operated by Tommy Cornelius. For ticket information or to reserve seats, call the Ashdown Jamboree box office at (501) 898-5149.
