Man Charged With March 4th StabbingPublished Wednesday, March 13, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneA 33-year-old Prescott man has been charged with aggravated assault and third degree battery. These charges stem from a stabbing incident involving his estranged wife, Monday, March 4. According to Jim Westmoreland, criminal investigator with the Prescott Police Department and Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Lorenza Blalock, Jr., allegedly forced his way into the home of Gloria Blalock, his estranged wife, who lives on East Second North. An argument ensued and she and a cousin, John Johnson of St. Louis, Mo., received stab wounds to their arms. Gloria Blalock and Johnson were taken to Medical Park Hospital in Hope by a private automobile, where they were treated and released. Blalock was arrested in the High Meadows housing area by assistant PPD chief Jim Stewart and PPD officer Kristey Hillery. Deputies Wally Hulan and Roy Frazier assisted in the arrest.
