Recipes are needed for a cookbook that is being compiled by supporters of the Little League Association with the proceeds of the sale of the cookbook benefitting Cabe Field and the association.

Beirne Fire Department is having a homemade ice cream and grilled hamburger lunch July 10 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the fire station. Those who want to support the fire department may eat there or take it home or the group will deliver. For orders, call 353-6525.

Beech Street Baptist Church will have a vacation Bible school July 12-16 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. This year's theme is 'Mt. Extreme: the Ultimate Good News Challenge.'

Mt. Canaan Baptist Church will honor the Southland Gospel Crusaders with an anniversary celebration July 10 at 6:30 p.m. The theme will be 'The Lord is Our Strength.'

Gurdon High School class of 1989 10-year reunion will be held soon. If you have not received information about the reunion or you know someone's address that the reunion committee does not have call Kevin at 246-3547 or Teri at 353-2729.

July 24 there will be a men's and women's conference on family and evangelism at St. Clair Baptist Church in the Burtsell community, off Highway 51 North of I-30. Hear great groups, soloists and St. Clair's Mass Choir. Pre-registration and continental breakfast is between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will be in Gurdon on July 2, 15 and 29 at the Gurdon Municipal building from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. New applicants are welcome. Call 353-2514 for an appointment or more information.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
