Athaline Kirby, 58, of Prescott, died Friday, March 15, 1996, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Born March 28, 1937, in Prescott, she worked at Nevada County Hospital as ward clerk for several years, was a graduate of McRae High School and a member of St. Mark Baptist Church near Prescott.

Survivors include her mother, Florence McCoy of Antioch, Calif.; her husband, Paul Kirby of Prescott; a son, Sidney E. Kirby of Prescott; two daughters, Carla Major and Melissa E. Kirby, both of Pittsburg, Calif; five brothers, Billy McCoy of Richmond, Calif., Willie McCoy of Bethel Island, John McCoy of Pittsburg, Calif., Joe McCoy of Novota, Calif. and Kenneth McCoy of Pittsburg, Calif.; three sisters, Archidine Wofolk of Pittsburg, Calif., and Norma McCoy and Kathie Peters of Antioch, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, March 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St.Mark Baptist Church near Prescott with Rev. Tony officiating. Burial will be in Community Cemetery near Prescott under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Camden.
