Net Squad Drops Match To BobcatsPublished Wednesday, March 20, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayunePrescott's tennis team got off to an inauspicious start last week against Hope. In fact, Stacy Stockton was the lone member of the Wolf brigade to post a win. Stockton earned an 8-6 decision over Kirchhoff in their match. It was downhill from there. Laura Culpepper fell to Tullis 7-9 in a hard-fought match. Ashbrook succumbed to McMullen 2-8, as did Martin to Byers. In girls doubles, the team of Culpepper and Cornelius lost 4-8 to Kirchhoff and Darling. Martin and Marlar fell 2-8 to Tullis and Byers. Jessica Hildebrand and Kaci Ammons went down 3-8 to the Byrne-Gilbert duo. The Wolves were blanked in boys play. Lowdermilk lost 4-8 to Green, while Traczewitz fell to Burke 1-8. Ellis faltered against Wallace 0-8 and Ellis also lost to Henley 3-8. The tandem of Lowdermilk-Traczewitz went down to Burke-Wallace 1-8.
