Treasurer Finishes Update

Pat Hasley, County Treasurer for Clark County, has recently completed her seventh certification update through the Arkansas County Treasurers Certification Program. This Program is offered by Southern Arkansas University Tech at Camden in conjunction with the Center for Government Training. Mrs.

Hasley was one of two treasurers to receive her update at a statewide workshop held in Hot Springs at the Lake Hamilton Resort on February 22 and 23.

The program provides officials, such as Mrs. Hasley, with training opportunities and challenges while remaining current with the latest developments affecting her office through workshops and seminars offered by the Center for Government Training. The general requirements for update and certification renewal is the completion of 18 continuing education units after the 30-hour certificate is completed.

Gary Oden, vice chancellor, says the program has proven to be very successful.

"This now brings the total to 507 county officials and/or deputies who have received certificate updates which has proven to strengthen this ongoing learning program," he said.

"It is the goal of SAU Tech and the Center for Government Training that outstanding services be provided to Arkansas citizens by well-informed official, such as Mrs. Hasley," he said.
