Kadahadocho Club Meets

The Kadahadocho Club met March 20 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gurdon Municipal Building with seven members and one guest present.

Anita Lynch, president, presided. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Betty Slayton and Anita Lynch gave the inspirational thought.

Anita Cabe introduced the speaker, Rev. Gene Edwards, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Gurdon. Rev. Edwards is also Gurdon Police Chaplain and works with the Crime Watch Program. He explained how the program works and encouraged everyone to get involved.

During the social hour the hostesses, Anita Cabe, Betty Slayton and Virginia Hays, served delicious brownies and hot chocolate.

Anita Lynch called the business session to order and asked for the February minutes. They were read and approved. The treasury report was given by Anita Cabe. Anita Lynch gave a report on the Camden District spring board meeting held in Hope March 2nd.

Genie McCook, president of Camden District, installed four members of the Kadohadocho Club as state officers -- Anita Lynch, vice president; Juanita Boskin as recording secretary; Betty Slaton as corresponding secretary; and Carolyn Kuhn as parliamenterian.

Carolyn Kuhn made a motion to give $62.50 to Girls State. Seconded by Betty Slayton, the motion carried.

Anita Lynch mentioned the club having a quilt show this fall with a dinner and entertainment, the cost of admission being a coat for the needy. After a discussion this was tabled until the next meeting.

Anita Lynch read a thank you note from the Close Up Group.

There being no other business the meeting adjourned by repeating the Club Collect.
