Local National Guard Unit Hands Out Awards, PromotionsPublished Wednesday, March 27, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneSeveral members of Co A (-) 1-153rd Infantry at Prescott, Arkansas Army National Guard have been awarded several different awards or been promoted. They are listed below with their awards or promotions. Specialist Jorge M. Osorio of Prescott and Specialist John W. Scott of Hope were both awarded the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (first award). Osorio is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jorge M. Osorio of Prescott. He began his military career in November 1992 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Lifesaver Badge, National Defense Service Medal, and the Multinational Force and Observers Medal. Scott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Scott of Hamilton, Ala. He began his military career in February 1984 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon and the Army Achievement Medal. PV1 Willie A. Christopher of Rosston was promoted to the rank of Private Second Class. He is a graduate of Nevada High School and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie B. Christopher of Rosston. He is assigned as an antiarmor specialist. Staff Sergeant James M. Holleman of Prescott has been awarded the Army Reserve Componets Achievement Medal (fifth award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal (second award), and the Arkansas Service Ribbon (fourth award). He is currently employed by Potlatch Corporation. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Holleman of Chidester. He began his military career in February 1976 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Componets Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Arkansas Service Ribbon. Holleman and his wife, the former Murlene Lee, have two children, Victor and Brittany. Staff Sergeant Bobby J. Hall and Sergeant Darrell Hardamon, both of Prescott, were awarded the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (seventh and third award respectively). Hall is currently employed by the Arkansas Army National Guard in Prescott and Hardamon is currenlty employed by Hines Trucking of Prescott. Hall began his military career in July 1954 and has received the following awards: Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Arkansas Recruiter Badge, Arkansas Service Ribbon, Arkansas Commendation Medal and the Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon. He and his wife, the former Joyce Samuelson, live in Prescott. Hardamon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hardamon of Prescott. He began his military career in February 1985 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Arkansas Service Ribbon and the Drivers Badge. Hardamon and his wife, the former Adell Purifoy, have two children, Tyrone and Sherconia. Staff Sergeant Lairy D. Hart of Hope was awarded the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (seventh award). He is currently employed by the Arkansas Army National Guard in Prescott. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar E. Hart of Rosston. He began his military career in June 1965 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Arkansas Service Ribbon, Arkansas Recruiter Badge, Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon and the Drivers Badge.
