Dorothy P. FieldPublished Wednesday, March 27, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Dorothy P. Grimmett Field, 79, of Arkadelphia died Friday, March 22, at the Pineview Nursing Home in Gurdon. She was born August 4, 1916, in Prescott. She was the daughter of R.R. and Zula Boyd Grimmett. She was a retired retail clerk for Thrifty Drug Store in Long Beach, Calif., and a Christian. She was the widow of Louis Field. Survivors include a son, Donald T. Atkins of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Henry E. Grimmett of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Col. (ret.) Charles M. Milam of North Little Rock; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, March 25, at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Carl Kluck and Dr. Shelby Cowling officiating. Interment was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Memorials may be made to the Arkadelphia Second Baptist Church building fund.
