Methodists Set Special Services For Holy Week

First United Methodist Church, 201 East Walnut in Gurdon, is celebrating Holy Week with special weeknight services. Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday will be observed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, April 3, 4 and 5, in the church sanctuary.

Its annual Easter sunrise service will be Easter morning at 7:00 on Bowen Hill Road. Congregational singing will be led by Daryl Potratz. Henry Conly will bring the devotional.

Everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs and join in this special Easter Sunday celebration. A continental breakfast will be served at the church following this service.

The public is invited to make these special services a part of your Easter celebration.
