Charles Earns Scholarship FroM UCA

Quincy Charles of Gurdon High School has received an academic scholarship from the University of Central Arkansas beginning in August.

UCA offers academic scholarships, renewable for four years, based on ACT score and class rank.

Charles, who will receive a University Scholarship for tuition and fees, is the son of Virginia Giles and Bobby Charles of Gurdon.

He is vice president of the National Honor Society, a member of the Beta Club, Journalism Club, Art Club, Spanish Club and Job Training Partnership Act program. He received the Daughters of American Revolution Good Citizen Award, the Interpersonal Relationship Award and academic awards in Spanish I and II and in health.
