Top 10 GHS Academic Graduates Are Named

Leonard Gills, principal of Gurdon High School, has announced the top ten academic graduating seniors.

Valedictorian is Jared Smith, son of Rick and Tambra Smith of Gurdon. Jared plans to continue his education at the University of Central Arkansas.

Lori Hathcoat will have the honor of being the salutatorian. She is the daughter of Sharon Hathcoat and Leon Hathcoat of Gurdon. Lori will be attending Henderson State University this fall.

The remainder of the top ten students for 1996 are Shanna Wells, Quincy Charles, John Anderson, Jennifer Guthrie, Jimmy Don Thomas, Brian McGalliard, Phillip Porcelli and Shea Wetherington.
