Purtle Seeks JP 3 PositionPublished Wednesday, April 10, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneJ. Carroll Purtle has announced his candidacy for Justice of the Peace in District 3. Purtle served as Justice of the Peace for six years before the district lines were redrawn in 1992. "I've always worked for the good of the county as a whole with an eye to the future," Purtle said. "I beleive we need to continue to plan for the future of our county and the needs of our residents. If we don't move forward, we will stagnate and become even more economically disadvantaged," he said. "I will work with the members of the Quorum Court and other county officials to reach a concensus on the solutions of our county's needs.
