Ruth Olivia Lane

Ruth Olivia Lane, 71, passed away Saturday, July 10, 1999, in Hot Springs.

Mrs. Lane was born October 8, 1927, in Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of God. Mrs. Lane was a member of a Garland County Extension Homemakers Club. She established Children's Church and she was a teacher of an adult Sunday school class. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, Turner Shelton and Janie Wallace Vaden Brown, and a sister, Vera Wanetta Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Gene Lane of Hot Springs; two sons, Malcolm Glenn and Michael Lee Lane, both of El Dorado; a sister, Mary McBride of Gurdon; three grandsons, Brandon Lane of Waldo, Robert Lane of Beaumont and Michael Lane II of El Dorado; four nieces; and one nephew.

Funeral services Monday, July 12, at Gross Funeral Home Chapel, in Hot Springs with Revs. Windel Mager and J.E. Points officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Gross Funeral Home of Hot Springs.

Family members ask that memorials be sent to the building fund of the First Pentecostal Church of God.

Pallbearers were Bill Stafford, Marvin Hunt, Coy Dunkin, Maurice Sanders, T.G. Hightower and Justin Crain. Honorary pallbearers were the adult Sunday school class and members of the First Pentecostal Church of God.
