Area Blood Drive Is Set For FridayPublished Wednesday, April 10, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Arkansas Region of the American Red Cross Blood Services, Central Baptist Church and the community of Prescott announce an upcoming blood drive on Friday, April 12, from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. The drive will take place at Central Baptist Church located at 600 East Second Street. Every seven minutes someone in Arkansas needs blood. Accident victims, surgery patients, newborns, burn victims, cancer patients and many others depend on blood and blood products sevend days a week, 365 days a year. The Arkansas Region of American Red Cross provides the total supply of blood and blood productsd to 52 hospitals in 54 Arkansas counties. Each day at least 300 units of blood must be collected to ensure our hospitals have an adequate supply. If you are 17 years of age or older and weigh minimum of 105 pounds, you are asked to donate blood for an Arkansan on April 12. For more information, contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-448-3543.
