Nettie PittmanPublished Wednesday, April 17, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneNettie Anne Stivers Pittman, 92, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Prescott, died March 29, 1996, in a Mesa nursing home. Born April 21, 1903, in Dacatur, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Stivers. She was a homemaker and helped her late husband, Allen Pittman, in the poultry industry. She later operated a greenhouse. She moved from Prescott in 1979 to Tucson, Ariz., to live with a daughter and later to Mesa, Ariz., to live with a son. Survivors include three sons, Richard Pittman and Dick Pittman, both of Chicago, Ill., and Kirby Allen of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Allene Hanson of Tucson, Ariz., and Nettie Mae Owens of Mesa, Ariz.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Memorial services were held in Mesa, Ariz., on March 31 after which her body was cremated. Burial services will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Prescott on Sunday, April 21, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating.
