Everett Sutton

Lloyd Everett Sutton, 78, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Sutton and Prescott, died Saturday, April 20, in Dallas.

Born July 30, 1917, in Sutton, he was an independent candy broker, founder and owner of Everett Sutton Candies in Garland, and had land holdings in the Sutton area. He was a member of Elks Lodge 71 and of the Tejas Dance Club. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Rheudasil Sutton of Garland, Texas; a son, Lloyd Everett Sutton Jr., of Garland; three daughters, Martha Jayne McKelvy of Garland, Betty Ann Buzbee of Princeton, Texas, and Chandra Merele Sutton of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Sue Crank of Longview, Texas; six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, April 23, in Williams Funeral Home chapel in Garland. Burial was in Rest Land Cemetery in Dallas.
