The 14th annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Academic Banquet was held at the Riverfront Hilton in North Little Rock on April 6.

The Arkansas chapter of this organization selects outstanding football players with high academic standards and recognizes them each year at this banquet.

"Prescott has been very fortunate to have four nominees over the last 14 years," Eddie Jackson, PHS football coach, said. "Our first inductee was Shaun Smith in 1985. He was followed by Andy Nelson, Danny Loe and John Cornelius last year."

This group added another feature to the program this year by recognizing the head coach from each of the state championship football teams. Coach Jackson and his wife, Kathy, attended the banquet and accepted a very nice plaque on behalf of the Wolves and coaches. The Curley Wolves were the Class AA state champions.

This past weekend the Wolves' football program was honored once again with a special recognition plaque.

At the annual University of Arkansas football coaches spring clinic, the Razorback coaches present a state championship plaque to the head coach of each classification. Coach Jackson and coach Kevin Stamp attended the clinic and accepted this award of the Curley Wolf players and staff. In additon to this honor they got a chance to see the Hogs in a practice and scrimmage situation.
