HSU Students Present Papers

Five Henderson student presented research papers (co-authored with HSU faculty) at the Arkansas Academy of Science annual meeting held at Westark Community College in Fort Smith recently.

Student authors and their faculty co-authors were: Timothy Golden of Gurdon, with Dr. Dan Marsh; James Anderson of Hot Springs, Sharon Clark of Bonnerdale and Creed Tumlison with Dr. Renn Tumlison; and Michael Knox of Hot Springs, with Dr. Michael Matthews.

Dr. Peggy Dorris, serving as academy president for the past year, presided over the meeting.

The mayor of Fort Smith proclaimed "Peggy Dorris Day" and she was issued a pardon for any hanging offenses that she might committ while in town. Dr. Michael Matthews served as chair of the nominating committee and Dr. Jim Bragg as chair of the audit committee for the academy.
