Seven Raise Funds For St. Jude's At Bike-A-Thon

On Saturday, April 27, seven riders rode their bicycles for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Adam Hill, Chad Martin, Jeffery Sampson, Brook Smith, J.D. Sampson and Jonathan and Joshua Barbaree rode a combine total of 128 miles and collected $388.10 in donations.

Adam Hill collected the most donations; Chad Martin rode the most miles; Joshua Barbaree was the one chosen as the most cautious rider; and J.D. Sampson was the youngest rider. He rode six laps. Each of the riders won a special prize and also received balloons and candy from Sandy Helms.

Everyone enjoyed refreshments served by Bennie Guy, Barbara Sampson and Angie Barbaree.

Also helping to assist the children were Eric Barbaree, Jerry Martin, David Smith, Mildred Hill, Patsy Hill, Angie Barbaree and Barbara Sampson, coordinator for St. Jude Hospital.
