Christian Community Television has added several items of information to the PCFA.ORG project of the Prescott Community Freenet Association.

CCT's program schedule, list of birthdays and anniversaries, community reminders and video market ads are updated on the PCFA.ORG computer at least once each day. CCT also offers an opportunity to submit these items by e-mail to the station for broadcast. In addition, CCT has also placed a collection of pictures of the area on PCFA.ORG.

Eddie Daniel, vice chairman of PCFA, says one of PCFA.ORG's goals is trying to increase the awareness of the community and promote civic pride. The addition of the CCT information is another way of doing that.

Another major provider of local information is Ragsdale Printing, which supplies the Nevada Picayune and Gurdon Times. The Wednesday editions of the papers are typically on line the night before release in print.

PCFA hopes to be able to add more local sources of information in the near future. Businesses, churches, clubs, and government entities are all invited to place general information on PCFA.ORG.

An interesting note from one of Prescott's former citizens was received Wednesday, May 8, on the net. It was from Douglas Fairchild, the son of James E. `Poss' Fairchild and a former high school employee of the Picayune. Fairchild teaches music to the children of parents from around the world who are associated with the United Nations. The school is located in the United Nations building in New York City.

Fairchild said he "was totally amazed to be reading this page in New York City (from the Internet). It looks great and is a treat to be able to read the Picayune, etc.

"If possible, please send regards to my dad, James E. Fairchild, at Whiz Barber Shop in Prescott..."
