Burke Accepts Several Academic ScholarshipsPublished Wednesday, May 15, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneAaron Dale Burke, a 1996 highest honors graduate of Preescot High School, has accepted several academic scholarships to attend Louisiana Tech beginning with the fall semester in August. The scholarships include Louisiana Tech out of state waiver fee of $1,995 per year; Louisiana Tech academic scholarship for $1,400 per year; Lousiana Tech engineering department scholarship for $1,000 per year; and Meyer's Bakery of Hope scholarship for $10,000. Burke plans to major in computer science and computer engineering. He is the son of Robert and Debbie Woodring Burke of Prescott and the grandson of Virgil and Mildred Burke of Prescott and Liz Burnham of Little Rock and the late Woody Woodring of Camden.
