A lot of hard decisions have been made as to where and when these events will take place. Most are aware that the gymnasium currently contains four English classrooms and cannot be used for the awards program. Some have asked about the elementary or middle school cafetoriums, but be reminded our programs take place during the school day when the other schools are in progress and utilizing their cafeterias. It appears that the only place where anything can be done is in the athletic stadium, and that's not an ideal place for either Award's Day or Senior Class Day. But I suppose it's like everything else since the fire -- we'll do our best with what is left. The same holds true for graduation exercises this year. If it rains, and it usually does, we have no alternate plans. We'll just have to wait it out or open an umbrella and keep passing out those diplomas. Following is a schedule of upcoming events. Parents, especially those of seniors, may want to clip it and put it on their calendars. INDUCTION (First Baptist Church) May 20, SENIOR TEST MAKE-UP DAY 6:30 p.m. KIWANIS HONOR BANQUET (Elementary Cafeteria) May 21, 7:00 p.m. SPRING SPORTS AWARD (Elementary Cafeteria) May 23, 8:00 a.m. SENIOR BREAKFAST 9:40 a.m. AWARDS DAY (Football Stadium) 1:30 p.m. SR. CLASS DAY PRACTICE 6:00 p.m. BAND BANQUET (Middle School) 7:00 p.m. (Band Awards - M. S.)
