Emmet Plans Graduation This ThursdayPublished Wednesday, May 15, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneEmmet High School graduation commencement exercises are Thursday, May 16 at 8:00 p.m. Gary Faulkner has been named valedictorian while Casey Purtle has been named salutatorian. David Coombs, for high school principal for Emmet, will be the speaker at the ceremony which will take place at the school's cafatorium. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
