SAU Confers Degrees; Includes Area Students

On May 10, Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia conferred degrees to 384 students. Of those graduates 43 graduated with honors.

Students attaining a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74 graduated cum laude, students who earned a GPA of 3.75 to 3.89 graduated magna cum laude, and students who earned a GPA of 3.9 to 4:0 graduated summa cum laude, the highest honor bestowed.

Several of those graduates were from Nevada County.

Those from Prescott were Jane Wrenette Stockton with a BBA in business administration, Robby J. Telfteller with a BS in industrial technology and Shanntell Susann Treas with a BBA in business administration; from Rosston: Carol Louise Burson with a BBA in accounting, Amanda Deann Hatfield with an AAS degree in computer information systems, Kandace Annette McDonald with an AS degree in nursing, Rebecca Joyce Miller with an AS degree in nursing and Lorrie Ann Quillin with a BSE degree in elementary education; and Jewell Norman Poindexter from Emmet with a BS in psychology.
