ACT Class To Be Offered This Summer

Nevada High School will be offering summer classes for next year's juniors, seniors and high school graduates who have taken the ACT and scored below the minimum of 19 in English, math and/or reading.

The 19 score is needed for unconditional admission to all Arkansas colleges.

Juniors, who have scored above 19 and would like to take the course for enrichment, may be admitted upon recommendation by a teacher or counselor.

Sophomores who have taken the ACT may be admitted if the class has not reached capacity.

The classes will begin on June 4 and end on June 28. The class will meet daily from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a review session July 15-19.

The ACT test will be given on July 20.

There is no cost involved for the student. The special ACT test will be free of charge to particpants in the program. Usually, students improve their socres by several points after completing the program.
