Williams Awarded ScholarshipPublished Wednesday, May 29, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneAmie Williams, a junior at Nevada High School, was recently selected to receive a full scholarship to the 1996 Arkansas Business Academy July 21-25. The Arkansas Business Academy is a summer program for high school students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. For one exciting week, students will be part of a compact disc corporation, where they will work as a team to develop a business plan, a marketing strategy and everything else `big dogs' in a corporation do. They will also have an adult member of the business community working with them all week to offer advice and encouragement. Admission and selection criteria were based on responses to the application questions, school and community service, academic record and a recommendation from a teacher.
