Co. Livestock Judging Team Takes First

The Clark County junior livestock judging team won first place at the Hot Spring County Spring Jackpot Show.

The team judged breeding beef, steers and lambs.

Members of the junior team are Michele Golden, Trey Burchfield, Nicole McMichael and Kelli McKinnon.

Three team members placed among the high point winners for individual points. Trey Burchfields placed second overall junior, Nicole McMichael placed third overall junior and Kelli McKinnon placed fourth overall junior.

The team will receive a trophy for the first place win. Members who placed in the top five will receive a plaque.

These members of the Clark County livestock judging team are all active 4-H'ers.

Anyone interested in joining a 4-H club should contact the local county Extension at 246-2281. 4-H is the youth development program of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and is open to all boys and girls nine to nineteen years of age.
