My mother Maxine Glass from Caney visited Monday with us, helping can corn and peas. I sure did enjoy the lunch she had fixed when I came home from work. Fikes 15 and 16 year old baseball team enjoyed a swimming party Monday night at the Prescott Country Club. Those attending from our area was Brandon Tullis, Eric Jackson, Josh Bullock and Toby Bullock. Good luck to the team as they enter the tournament. Irene Cornelius was admitted in Beverly Health Center Wednesday evening. There she will be in rehabilitation for awhile after breaking her hip last week. Jack and Jimmy Cornelius visited Tom and Barbara Cornelius Wednesday night. Happy Birthday Jimmie Cornelius. When you are out in the woods, feel that you could, even though that you can't, but you gotta take a chance. This saying was though up by Aaron Morton. Have a safe week. This week's news: Sorry the news didn't make it in the paper last week. Hello readers, hope everyone had a safe July 4th celebration. Jake and Tera Cornelius are now back after a week in Eureka Springs on their honeymoon. Good luck and welcome home. Irene Cornelius has been admitted to Beverly Health Care Center. She will have to be in rehabilitation for a while. She seems to be doing okay. Recently Karen Cobb had a birthday dinner for her husband, David, and Leslie Renfro. Happy birthday! Aaron Morton spent the night with his cousins, Hannah and Clancey Cleveland, from Emmet. Friday evening Karen and Sarah Jobe had supper with Tom and Barbara Cornelius, also Aaron Morton. The kids enjoyed an afternoon swim. July 4, David and Karen Cobb, Leslie Renfro and George Cornelius had lunch with Annie Cornelius. Paul Boyd traveled to Houston to visit with his dad, Ernie Boyd, and stopped in Hope to see his mom, Shirley Smith, on the July 4th holiday. Charles and Judy Matthews from Jacksonville visited her mother, Irene Cornelius Friday at Beverly Health Care. They spent the night at the home of Lewis and Irene Cornelius. They returned home Saturday. The All-Star baseball got underway Saturday in Prescott. B.J. Daniels was chosen to play on the 12- and 13-year-old team. The first game was played against a team from Magnolia. Prescott won 12 to 2. Best of luck, guys. Donna Carter celebrated her ?? birthday Sunday. Tom, Barbara, Jimmie and Jack Cornelius fixed her right up with grilled hamburgers, cake and ice cream. Those joining them were Mike and Marcia Jo Ridling, Brandon Tullis and John Cornelius.
